Gold Vermeil Jewellery Care (pronounced ver-may)

Vermeil is a high-quality gold plating over 925 sterling silver, and it is the best option you can get besides solid gold. It is much more durable than other gold-plated jewellery and can last for years with proper care, but the plating may start to wear off after around six months of continuous wear without care. Store your Vermeil jewellery in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight. Be sure to remove your jewellery when bathing, applying perfume or skincare products, swimming (in both the ocean or a pool), exercising, or entering a sauna or steam room. For cleaning, use a gold polishing cloth and gently rub in a circular motion, or wash it with mild, non-chemical soap and warm water.
